37 weeks and its HOT!

Ok - So I used to make fun of the Oregonians that always say "It's so Hot" when it really wasn't. (I was proud of my Midwest roots always thinking, if you don't know what heat index, or humidity is, then you don't know hot - I take back all that I have ever said to a hot Oregonian) Well today it was hot - 106 degrees to be exact. Yep and that is living without air condition and being 9.5 months pregnant. I feel like I am literally going to melt away. It is hard to do anything but just sit in front of a fan at this point. Tomorrow is supposed to be even hotter, then it is supposed to gradually cool back down to the upper 80's over the next week.
Ok well some good things have happened this week. My work had a surprise shower for me! It was actually a joint one with another manager that is due within a few days from me. It was great. They did a good job and were very generous with their gifts. Here is the diaper cake they made and a cute Enterprise onesie. They even invited Geoff to come join in the fun.
Here is the ear hat. Geoff has wanted to buy one of these forever. Well I came home the other day and he had gone and found one. It will look so cute on our little girl.
He also bought her a B-day present for the day she is born. I have no idea what it is, but I am sure it is something special that she will appreciate down the road as her first b-day present from her father.

That is all to report. Annette flys in tomorrow! I had all these things that she was going to help with like preparing and freezing meals and washing clothes, but it might just be too hot for that! Oh we also just booked our flight for the Kim/Collin wedding spectacular taking place on September 12!!! I am staying a week, Geoff has to get back for work. This will give me an opportunity to show off the princess. Thanks Dad and Annette for the Southwest voucher - it saved us a bundle!

36.5 Weeks

Sorry for the delay in posting, I have been super tired the past few weeks and am pretty much on the couch once I get home from work. Do you see our purple wall!!!!! Thanks Sara and Travis!!! They surprised Geoff and I by purchasing and accent wall in our nursery. Geoff and I picked the color and it was painted this week!!! We love it! Here is Geoff hanging up the letter's for our little girl's name. He was very methodical using the laser level and tape measure - it looks great! (I took lots of pictures, but you can't see them yet)
Here is her changing station. I made some little butterfly pictures for her. I hope she likes them. Oh you can also barley see, but we hung up black and white polk-a-dot curtains that my mom made, they pull the room all together. I will take some pictures and post them soon. We have been busy getting everything ready this week!
Larry has found a new hiding spot - under the crib. I wonder if he will spend much time down there once there is a crying baby above him???
Here I am! Yep big as a house. I am going to the doctor every week now. I went on Monday and was already at 3cm!!! The doctor said that is good, and if I keep up at this rate, I will not have to worry about going past my due date:) The baby is measuring a little small still, so I am going to take it easy so she will cook as long as possible.
Front view. Yes the picture frame behind be is blank - I am trying to figure out what to put in it. I was thinking of some Larry pictures, but we will see.

35 weeks!

5 more weeks to go! I am officially grounded in Eugene (or within 1 hour of the hospital) starting next week, so we took one last trip to the beach with our babies. (baby Larry and baby princess)Geoff and Larry ran around while I found a nice spot to lay a picnic blanket:)

We tried to get all of us, but Geoff and I are all that fit.

I am trying to get Larry to smile for the camera, but he is too excited in the freezing cold water.

Just lounging around after a jog. You can see his bald spot, he is really embarrassed by it. Geoff took him to get checked out and the vet said it is just seasonal balding that is common with boxers. We still think he is perfect!

My two favorite men!

Here is Larry riding in the SUV. He is so good, we don't even have to put a gate up. He just stays in the back. We are really happy with our new family SUV and look forward to many trips with our two babies in it.

I go to the doctor tomorrow. They are going to check the position of the baby and see if she is head down. (I sure hope so!) Other than that just getting ready. Our wall gets painted next week! We tried to pack our hospital bag this weekend, but there were too many things that I was not ready to put in a bag yet, so I guess we will try again in a few weeks. Good news! We have some visitors coming! Geoff's mom and my stepmom are coming to Oregon in a few weeks! We can't wait for visitors, especially grandma visitors, they like to make sure you are prepared!

Happy 4th of July!

Happy 4th everyone! We got the celebration started early with "American Toast" with strawberries and blueberries. (Not really sure why I took pictures, but since I did, here they are)
We are going to a few BBQs today and relaxing.
Thanks to all the military personel that keep us safe over here so we can enjoy that freedom!

I'll post some more pictures later of our great day!

34 Weeks and Pixies!

Today I am 34 weeks! Only 6 more to go. Here I am big belly in all. It got "hot" here finally. Hot means 90's, but since you don't have AC- it is hot. So I decided the long hair had to go and got it cut off- it's not too short, but better for sure!

We live in an apartment complex, which to be honest pretty much sucks. I would prefer to live in a house, but since we live on the west coast, we can't afford one of those anytime soon. Well there are some perks I will admit to apartment living. My complex has BBQs, a pool, and contests that add some fun. One of which is pixie hunting.

Basically they hide little pixies around the complex once a month and you can find them to win credits toward your rent, accent walls, carpet cleaning, etc. I am sure this is mostly intended for kids to play, but I do a lot of walking with Larry around the complex, so I have gotten into the hunt myself. (Thus dragging Geoff into it as well) They were placed out on Friday so Geoff, Larry and I went for a hunt. The are hidden in trees, on fences, and signs. Here is one we found!

Larry and Geoff showing off their find!

We ended up finding 6 in all. Maybe we will win this month!
